About the Broken Mirrors Duology:

  1. Will there be more books about Thane and Kesara?
  2. How do you pronounce “Kesara?”

About The Conquest of Kelemir Series:

  1. What’s up with Winter’s Fallen? It’s not like your other books at all! Is the rest of the series written in the same style?
  2. How many books are going to be in this series?
  3. Since this series is set in the same world as Broken Mirrors and Broken Lords, will there be any overlap between the two?

About my books in general:

  1. Any chance of a future book about *insert name of favorite supporting character here*?

About the Broken Mirrors Duology:

1. Will there be more books about Thane and Kesara?

There is the possibility of a third book about them, if there is enough interest from readers. I don’t want to drag their story on and on if the majority is pleased with it as it is. It’s always bothered me as a reader when a book I enjoyed has a good ending that gets “messed up” by later books that I didn’t like as much 😉 If I did release one, it would definitely be a standalone and its own story (in other words, I don’t intend to turn the duology into a trilogy; that particular story arc is complete as-is and a good ending for those who would prefer to leave things as they are!)

That being said, there’s a difference between a story about them, by which I mean about their evolving relationship, and a story in which they feature. You will definitely see them again, even if the story they are in is not exclusively about them, beginning with book 5 of The Conquest of Kelemir series, Forged in Spirit.

2. How do you pronounce “Kesara?”

In my head, it’s KEH-sara, with a long “a” in “sara.” But as far as I’m concerned, however you pronounce it in your head is the correct way. I purposefully try to use fairly common names in my books even though they are fantasy novels rather than using made-up ones, precisely to avoid people stumbling mentally over my characters’ names and being distracted from the story itself. Kesara was an exception that I couldn’t resist.

About The Conquest of Kelemir Series:

  1. What’s up with Winter’s Fallen? It’s not like your other books at all! Is the rest of the series written in the same style?

Winter’s Fallen was intended to be a homage to classic Gothic romance with fantasy rather than paranormal elements. Think magical wolves instead of ghosts! I wrote it before the Broken Mirrors Duology was even released, so I had no idea that its style would thwart anyone’s expectations…or even that there would be any expectations to thwart! I realized after publication that it was more a prequel than a proper first book in a series, but by that time, I was already stuck for technical reasons when it came to numbering the books, so I tweaked the second book (Cast in Stone) before releasing it so it could serve as an alternate entry point for those who might not be interested in the style of Winter’s Fallen. The rest of the series from Cast in Stone onward is “pure” romantic fantasy, with the main story arc for the series beginning with the second book (which is why, every chance I get, I emphasize reading them in order from that point on!)

It depends on who your favorite character is, but anything is possible. 😉

  1. I just thought I’d throw it out there that I’m definitely interested in another book WITH, or better yet ABOUT, Kesara and Thane.

  2. I have to admit that, as soon as I got my copy of Lord of War, I used the “search” function on my Kindle and searched the book for “Kesara” and “Thane”… with no success. 😦 Needless to say, I definitely want more of them! I really enjoy your work – thank you!

    1. Oh, I’m sorry about the disappointment! I wasn’t trying to mislead with the title. THAT “lord of war” doesn’t make an appearance until book 5. We’re getting there though! 🙂

      1. I’m glad to hear it! I did know that Lord of War referred to Sebastien, and that the book was his story, but I had hoped to hear a tiny bit about Thane & Kesara as the stories tied together. (I just ❤ them!) I really enjoy the way that the different countries and storylines are weaving together. Things are getting interesting… and then I think you mentioned somewhere that Silas and Valentine will reappear? I can't wait for more!
